Terms & Conditions
Deposits and payments
To confirm your tour, Swiss Cycology Tours must receive a deposit of 20%. The balance of the payment is due 120 days before the tour starts (a reminder email will be sent to Tour participants before this date). If payment is not received by this date, Swiss Cycology Tours reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled. The deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellation policy
We understand that things can happen, and that you might need to cancel a tour. You can cancel your booking by notifying us via email, and it will be effective from the date on which we receive it. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, cancellation charges will apply, up to the maximum shown below:
More than 120 days – full deposit refund
119 – 90 days; 20% of total cost
89 – 60 days; 40% of total cost
59 – 31 days; 60% of total cost
30 days or less; 100% of total cost.
In the unlikely event that a tour needs be cancelled by Swiss Cycology Tours, the following choices will be offered:
having a refund of all monies paid; or
accepting an offer of alternative tour dates.
Unplanned logistic/route changes
While we do everything we can to work around unexpected events, sometimes our routes and planning may need to change because of things outside of our control. Where this does need to happen, we’ll always give you as much notice as possible and do our best to put a suitable alternative in place.
Health and accident insurance
It is a mandatory requirement for anyone participating in a tour organised by Swiss Cycology Tours for all riders to have comprehensive medical insurance, covering health, accidents and evacuation events in Switzerland. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure this insurance is in place before you travel.
Tour cancellation insurance
Unexpected events such as injuries, illness or pandemics can occur, and we highly recommend all participants secure comprehensive trip cancellation insurance. It is recommended that each participant purchase this type of insurance before paying a deposit.
